The Country Corners Multiple 4-H club has had an interesting year.

The club had 16 members, with projects being light horse, archery, beef, small engine and welding.

Club activities wrapped up with an achievement day and the regional show. This is where members demonstrated or exhibited project work. We also had competitions with our projects.

Club members travelled Saskatoon for the 4-H annual general meeting and to Ottawa for a week to attend the annual 4-H citizenship seminar. Members took in a beef tour to see all the other 4-H calves, attended the Prairieland youth leadership conference and competed in the Nelson judging competition in Lloydminster. Light horse members attended the second annual Saskatoon horse expo.

Country Corners 4-Hers hit the slopes at Table Mountain for the northwest regional ski day, competed in provincial curling and competed in club district and regional speeches. A Christmas party with sledding and games was enjoyed. Small Engines rebuilt a dirt bike and Archery members held shoot at Battlefords Bait and Tackle. Light Horse members attended various riding clinics and Beef held a grooming day where the 4-H calves are clipped. The welding project members built a sign stand.

All members participated in a fundraising bottle driver.

These were some of the fun things our members did as a multiple club.

Our members were asked what their favourite thing was this year and this is what they said.

"My favorite thing in beef was the show, because everyone was having fun and I was happy of how the new members reacted to their first year in 4-H. To me 4-H is about taking part and having fun," said Brittany Hirschfeld, intermediate.

"My favorite part was watching the new members in light horse and beef improve so much as the year went on. Their hard work was inspiring," said Megan Schwark, senior.

"My favorite thing to do was working with my calf and learning so much," said James and Michael Domes, Cloverbuds.

"My favorite thing this year was getting the experience of working with my calf," said Chelsie Yarrow, intermediate

" I enjoyed the experience with my calf," said Alyssa Yarrow, senior.

"My favourite was welding. Learned so much," said Zak Weber, junior.

"I love all the experiences that come with 4-H: judging competitions, curling, speeches, national conferences, travel and scholarship opportunities, and so many skills learned! On top of it all is having fun with fellow 4-H members," said Jamie Schwark, senior.

"My favourite thing to do was shooting the club bow," Jordan Rowlands, junior.

"My favourite thing was fixing my dirt bike," said David Snyder, intermediate.

"My favoorite thing was grooming day. My favoorite thing was taking care of my calf. My favourite thing about beef was being around calves," said John Rowlands, junior

" My favorite thing this year was being able to help the new beef members in the 4-H show! It was awesome to see them have such an awesome first year and can't wait until the next year," said Steven Hirschfeld, senior.

"I liked going to the exhibition grounds. I loved Dip cause he was my calf and he was pretty good. My mom was nice enough to come in and take him out of the ring for me," said Jaxen Rowlands, Cloverbud.
