My thermometer presently reads -30 C. This is the second very cold spell we have experienced and winter only began, Dec. 21.
This is the time of the year when we hear from many relatives and friends who often write a summary of their year's activities. Needless to say, we really look forward to these information letters. Let's hope the increase in postage does not deter the letter writers.
Murray and Lynn Blyth returned home early in December to spend the Christmas season with their families. It must be quite a shock, the weather that is, after spending over a month in Arizona. They will return to their winter home early in the New Year.
The carol service held at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Forest Bank, was enjoyed by all who attended. It was held on Dec. 15 at 2 p.m.
Weather conditions, especially in eastern Canada and parts of the United States, are hampering the Christmas travel no matter how you are travelling. We wish all a merry Christmas and safe travel.
