Temperatures at various times lately have either risen or dropped very quickly. Jan. 25 my thermometer registered plus 4 C. Monday, it registered - 23 C.
Nearing the end of January one can already notice that the days are getting longer.

Some of us watched the curling broadcast from Las Vegas, Nev. a week ago. Little did we know that Lynn and Murray Blyth, Harold and Mary Holtby and Bill Pike were there in the stands. They took in all the games.
Lois Pike just very recently learned of the death of a high school friend, June (Tenant) Longdo. June attended Maidstone High School along with other local friends Doreen (Moss) Smart, Kathleen (McKerchan) Klepacheck and Helena Pike. June was married to another schoolmate, Vern Longdo. Lois spoke to Vern just last week. We extend to him and his family our sympathy.
