Manitou Evangelical Free Church in Neilburg hosted their Weird Animals Vacation Bible School Aug. 18-22.
Sixty-six children attended during the week, with an average attendance of 55 a day.
The children learned that Jesus loves them when they are left out, when they are different, when they don't understand, when they do wrong and when they are afraid.
They enjoyed games, videos, Bible stories and singing. The children experienced a scientific gizmo trick that they got to take home to enjoy. Several children completed memory work.
The children and families showed God's love by helping others. They raised enough money to purchase five bio-sand water filters through Samaritan's Purse.
Friday family members came for a closing ceremony, barbecue and visiting. It was a great week.
