Bingo at Maidstone Drop In Centre was cancelled Feb. 12 as it was a very stormy day.

The January-February potluck birthday luncheon was held at noon on Valentine's Day. The 15 seniors who attended enjoyed a delicious lunch following which a draw was made for several donated door prizes. Those seated at the birthday table were Jean Stewart and Ken Adie. Missing birthday people were Molly Den Duder, Tillie Linkert and Morris Coulthard.

The Grades 3 and 4 public school children came to entertain, accompanied by two teachers. They introduced themselves and named their great-grandparents who live in the area.

Song sheets were handed out with the words to all the old songs our age of people knew by heart. It was a pleasure to join in the singing of some of the old songs we knew from our school days. A circle game was played with much clapping of the hands. The vice-president, on behalf of all of us, thanked them for coming.

Following the program several people stayed to play cards, completing a most enjoyable afternoon.

Cards were played Feb. 17. High score went to Denise Newton and low to Bev Stewart. Denise provided lunch.
