We received news of the death of Mrs. Audrey Kitching, who passed away Dec. 28, 2012. At the time of her death she made her home at Pine Island Lodge, Maidstone.

Audrey was born Audrey Prongua, one of seven children born to Lawrence and Marjory Prongua who were living in the Seagram district near Winter, Saskatchewan. The family later lived in the Winter district where they farmed.

In 1940, Audrey married Thomas Kitching and they farmed in the Baldwinton area. In 1951 they settled on their farm south of Waseca where they made their home until they moved to Pine Island Lodge.

Audrey and Tom Kitching were busy people. Among their many interests were raising horses for racing, enjoying their yard and garden and interaction with their neighbours.

Audrey was predeceased by her husband Tom who passed away in the fall of 2012. She is survived by her daughter Katherine, Katherine's husband Mern Key and their family.

Funeral service for Audrey will take place Jan. 12 at 10 a.m. in Waseca Hall.

Our condolences to her family and many friends.
