The biggest topic this week is our first heavy snow. Saturday night it rained and Sunday morning it snowed. This area and south of Maidstone had around 10 inches while north didn't get any.
Tuesday, Frances Wright took me to Meadow Lake to the quilt shop and there was no snow there. Tuesday night we got another heavy downfall. It came later this year, what a blessing!
Sunday, Keith and Claire Paten took Joyce and Keith Weston and I to Waseca to the fall supper. The roads were heavy but Keith took it slow and was just fine. The supper was great.
Nov. 2 the hospital auxiliary held their craft show at the Legion Hall. One hundred and fifty-one people braved the stormy day to enjoy all the crafts. A great variety was on display. Eighteen vendors were present.
The ladies served a tasty soup and sandwich lunch, with dessert and coffee. There was a raffle and door prize. The door prize was won by Shandra Cardiff - a silver tree decoration by Frances Peterson, table runner by Joyce Orange, coffee mugs by Maryellen Foster, oven mitts and tea towel by Dorothy Harmel, and a baby quilt by Michell Newsted. The ladies need to be commended for a great day.
Tuesday at the Suites they played bingo, had coffee and visited.
Riley and Chantal were at Colleen Koski's for supper on Sunday.
Halloween was very quiet with only six little goblins arriving.
Winter is here, I think!
