The annual Walk a Mile In Her Shoes event had a new twist this year. This year, the guys had to walk a mile in high heels down the streets of North Battleford on Thursday evening, with money raised from the event going to support the Battlefords and Area Sexual Assault Centre. The route began at Freedom Skate and Snow and went down 100th Street to 11th Avenue, where the participants then crossed over towards the Capitol and made their way back up 100th Street. There were some well-known local names involved, with councillor Kent Lindgren, city manager Jim Puffalt, and Battlefords North Stars player Connor Manegre among those taking part in a good cause.
