Visiting over Thanksgiving holiday weekend

As I sit here writing the news, the snow is coming down and in places the ground is white. I guess winter has decided to come. Who knows, maybe it will clear up again.

Thanksgiving has come and gone and many of the apartment people enjoyed company or went out for supper.

Jean Stewart and Marion Staughton were to Paynton Saturday to Thelma Pope's 80th birthday and visited with many old neighbours.

Keith and Elenor Davis of Drayton Valley were in to visit Aunt Jean Stewart. They were here to attend the funeral service for the late Geneva Davis.

Jean Stewart enjoyed Thanksgiving with Bill and Marion Staughton and Kale, Sunday.

Dorothy Kissick was busy on the weekend, spending Saturday at the Craig Kissicks and Sunday with Tallie and Rowdy Staughton.

Colleen Koski, accompanied by Ken Koski, spent the weekend with her daughter and family at Strasbourg. Last week, Colleen was to visit her mum, May Ford, in Lloydminister.

Tillie Linhert was to Loon Lake with her family for their annual Thanksgiving weekend. There were 16 people in all. Only four of the family were unable to attend. They had a great time golfing, fishing, biking and eating.

A number of the apartment ladies enjoyed Helena Sawatsky's 90th birthday at the drop-in centre. We hope you have many more happy years, Helena.

I enjoyed Sunday supper at Dorothy Hermel's with Shannon Smith. A delicious turkey supper with all the trimmings and sumptuous pumpkin pie.

I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving as we certainly have a lot to be thankful for.
