Waseca News

The village seemed quiet over the Easter holiday. I guess people were travelling to visit in other places. Hopefully everyone enjoyed their activities.

The village streets are slowly drying. It's been one shower of rain or snow after another that's been keeping lots of mud around.

It's good to know that Bev Hult has been home from medical treatment in Edmonton and is feeling better. However she will be making return visits to doctors there for some time.

A long-time friend of Bev Hult and family, Marcia Salzl of Nanaimo, B.C., spent a few days with Bev and Vic. Marcia also visited relatives in the Paradise Hill area. Marcia's late husband, Leonard Elliot, was manager of Waseca Credit Union in the 1980s. Their son Sheldon attended Waseca School.

The Waseca Recreation Board continues to finalize arrangements for the April 25 fish fry to be held at Waseca Hall. Next meeting will be April 20 at which they also plan to discuss final arrangements for the Father's Day Brunch. Watch for posters in the Waseca post office.

The Waseca Hall Board at a recent meeting discussed grants that will go toward upgrading the hall heating system. One grant they discussed was Community Spaces and Places.
