The Manitou Evangelical Free Church in Neilburg hosted Vacation Bible School Aug. 19 to 23.
A whopping 57 children attended during the week, with an average attendance of 48per day. The children learned they can "stand strong" through God's love, the support of family and friends, prayer, trusting God and the Bible.
They enjoyed games, videos, Bible stories and singing. The younger children did crafts and the older children experienced a scientific gizmo trick, which they got to take home to enjoy.Several children completed memory work.
The children and families showed God's love by helping others. They brought enough recyclables to fill a stock trailer and donated over $300 in cash to help children in a Mexican orphanage.
Friday, family members came for a closing ceremony, barbecue and visiting. The little children performed a ribbon dance for the guests. It was a great week!
