Eve Ensler's Vagina Monologues will be returning to the Battlefords Feb. 16, the second time the play has been shown here.
The play was written by Ensler, based on her interviews with over 200 women. It is a celebration of women's sexuality and strength, as well as an acknowledgement of the violence many women endure.
All of the performers at the Battlefords performance will be volunteers, and the play will also serve as a fundraiser for organizations devoted to women. Ten per cent of the play's proceeds will be donated back to V-Day to help end violence against women around the globe, and the other 90 per cent will be split between the Battlefords Interval House and the Battlefords Area Sexual Assault Centre.
