Car-Mel Country will be performing at Telemiracle Sunday at 9 a.m.
Jean Sherman and daughters Diane Sevick, Donna Scherr and Denise Bernier have returned from a two-week holiday in Hawaii. The time was divided between Oahu and Maui.
The weather was ideal for a helicopter tour where they saw whales with their babies, waterfalls and miles of colourful coral reefs. They enjoyed seeing sea turtles and were lucky to see a endangered Monk seal that came ashore on Waikiki Beach.
The Pearl Harbour tour included the monument and the sunken Arizona, which was a moving and memorial experience followed by a tour of a sister ship, Missouri.
The Polynesian cultural centre taught them about the cultures of the people of Tonga, Fiji and Samoa to name some of the islands. The highway to Hana was an exciting road to experience.
Hours were spent shopping in outdoor markets, swimming in the ocean and enjoying tropical flora and fauna. This was a great way to escape the winter cold. An ocean-side luau ended a special holiday.
