Cards at the Maidstone Drop In Centre were cancelled April 28 so members could attend the funeral of long-time member Jessie Buckley, who passed away April 23. The funeral service was at St. Andrew's Anglican Church and members served lunch at the seniors' centre.

April 29 a number of seniors attended the funeral of dedicated seniors' club member Ray Hartman. The funeral was held at the Legion Hall. Ray was the maintenance man at the centre for a number of years. He will be missed, not just for the work he, did but for the quiet, willing way he looked after the smooth running of our centre.

Bingo was played April 30 with Joan Smith and Bev Stewart doing the calling. The loonie pot was won by Molly Den Ouen. Lunch was served by Denise Newton.

The May monthly meeting was held May 2 with Shannon Smith, vice-president, conducting the meeting. The Father's Day Tea date was set for June 13 from 2 to 4 p.m. There will be a door prize, a Father's Day prize, a raffle and a bake table. Everyone is welcome.

The date for the May-June birthday potluck will be at noon June 25 followed by bingo.

The next, and last before the summer, monthly meeting will be held June 6 at 2 p.m. The Drop In members will run the bingo at the museum grounds at the July 1 celebration. Following the meeting Shannon and Joan Smith served lunch.
