Sunday evening the temperature is once again down to -20 C. This low temperature has been seen every day during the past week. Along with the wind and blowing snow, we feel as though we are in the midst of winter even though the calendar tells us we celebrated the first day of spring this week.

Last week Linda and Bill McGilvery accompanied Sean and Kelly McGilvery, and their children, Drayson, Landon, Jenica and Ward, to Edmonton where they enjoyed a couple of days at the West Edmonton Mall Hotel. One of their interesting activities was time spent at the Star Wars Exhibit at the Science Centre.

Bill Pike, Wayne and Jane Pike and Dustin Pike returned from Florida at the end of last week. While there, they spent time watching the Blue Jays at their spring training camp.

Keith and Debbie Pike returned earlier this month from a month long holiday on Oahu Island in Hawaii. During the first part of their holiday they were accompanied by their daughter, Cerise Pike and Nelson De Almeida and son Dominic. During that time they visited a huge zoo, an aquarium and spent time swimming, snorkelling and enjoying the beautiful sandy beaches.

During the last part of their holiday, Debbie and Keith were joined by Lyle and Sheila McKee of Turtleford.

Other travellers returning during the last few days were Kevin and Yvonne Pike who had spent a month in Hawaii. Randy and his mother, Lois Pike, returned home from Mesa, Ariz. where they had been spending some time. While there, Jeanette and Dennis Pike of Indian Head spent some time with them. Kirk and Debbie (Pike) Munro of Lloydminster also spent some time with them.

Gully Gus says, "Isn't that sneaky, the way they call it a tax return? It's like your money is gonna make a round trip!!"
