TISDALE — The Tisdale Trojans geared up in their jerseys, and took to the streets of Tisdale to help fundraise for the Tisdale United Appeal.
“We come here every year and we go out and we get donations and we bring them back for a good cause,” said Kalen Ukrainetz the team’s captain. “I think it’s a great thing to do for the community.”
The agencies taking part in the United Appeal campaign this year are the North East Early Childhood Intervention Program (NEECIP), Tisdale Tiny Tornadoes Day Care, Tisdale and Area Community Action Co-op Ltd, Tisdale MS Self Help Group, North East Outreach and Support Services, Canadian National Institute for the Blind/Lions Club, and North East Regional Victim Services.
All the money raised is equally split by all participating agencies.
The Trojans canvassed for the United Appeal on Oct. 3. The United Appeal will have canvassers out until Oct. 9.
