Our Legends of Country Night 3 was a big success. It is our annual fundraiser for the upkeep and renovation of our fine old hall. For those of you who don't know, in the recent past we have put on a new roof, installed new upstairs washrooms, bought 200 new chairs, new tables and put in new carpet for our basement floor. In the past few weeks we have new front steps put in and had a new furnace installed for the lower level. In the next few weeks we will be putting on a new metal insulated door for the front of the hall.

Your support has resulted in much needed improvements and we hope it will continue. Our next phase of improvement will be a facelift to the front of the outside.

I would like to thank the hall committee who worked so hard, both before the event and after. Without them this event wouldn't have taken place. The boots in the picture were done by Judy Gallie, a very talented lady. Judy also helped decorate Friday night with John and Pat Reddekopp, Carol and Mel Deagnon and Dale Beaudion. The balloons were lots of fun to put up, not. For some reason they wanted to pop.

Now for our talent - thanks to Larry Symynuk, Gill brothers Don and Al, Dan McConnell, Gerald Wiebe and Joan Rice. What great talent all of them have. And thanks to those who came to back them up. And who was the comedian on stage? I think he should give up his music and become a stand up comedian. As if that's going to happen. Yes, he is my husband but he did a fantastic job.

Next I would like to thank everyone who attended the event. Without your support, these events couldn't happen. We have people asking when next year's Legends will be and people who have committed to be our next year's entertainment already.

Our next event will be our trade show Nov. 24. Anyone wishing to book a table, please call Carol at 389-2440.
