The Battlefords Union Hospital Foundation's $100,000 Cash Lottery is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
Proceeds from the 2014 lottery will provide funding to purchase medical equipment for the Operating Room, 3rd Floor, including Palliative Care, and the Surgical Floor, according to a BUHF press release.
This equipment includes a MedDispense unit that dispenses medications to nurses efficiently, safely and effectively prevents medications errors; a specialized air transfer system that safely transports patients from stretcher to the OR table or bed; and a lift bath trolley that allows for the safe and comfortable transport of a bedridden patient to the bathtub.
"Your ticket purchases have a significant impact in this community," noted Brenda Sparrow, BUHF's board of directors chair.

The 50/50 add ons are available at one for $10 or three for $25 and can be purchased only in conjunction with the $100,000 Cash Lottery ticket(s). The guaranteed minimum payout for the $100,000 Cash Lottery 50/50 add on is $20,000.
