While the agricultural community eagerly anticipates the harvest of 2013, 20 members of the Rivers' Edge Quilt Guild met in the Don Ross Craft Room Sept. 6 to share the "fruits" of their summer season.

At the show and tell part of the meeting, quilts large and small, featuring many techniques were displayed revealing just how busy a summer it has been for many people.

The upcoming quilt year promises to be no less busy and indeed as plans for the year were revealed by the program committee chair, Irene Greer, it became obvious there is just not enough time in a quilter's calendar.

There will be in-house instruction, comfort (charity) quilt days, visiting instructors, a sewing marathon and out-of-town retreats not to mention opportunities to complete personal projects.

Members of the pubic will have a chance to view a members' quilt display at the Chapel Gallery during the month of November and enjoy a trunk show by a visiting instructor from Moose Jaw. Please watch for further details.

New members of all skills levels, particularly beginners, are invited to join guild members, who meet in the craft room for a business session on the first Friday of the month at 1 p.m. For more information please contact Carol at 306-445-4352, Darlene at 306-445-4403, Irene at 306-937-3551 or Barb at 306-445-0486.
