Strides Health Education participants have received certificates of achievement and new shirts, yet to be imprinted.

This was in recognition for completing 12 Strides classes with 36 exercise program days at the Jackfish Lake Health Education and Exercise Center.

A volunteer guides the stretch and tone exercise periods with health care professionals from Prairie North Health Region giving classes and consultations. These take place for participants and/or their caregivers Monday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings for approximately 90 minutes. The program has completed its first year of operation.

The goal of the program is to build self-management skills to manage your health and to help you maintain an active and fulfilling life. It is free and open to the public. For every hour of participation you reap physical benefits tenfold.
