Summer on the coast enjoyed

I'm back from a six-week holiday in Prince George, B.C. with my daughter and her family. The weather was very good. They were saying that it was the nicest summer they've had in a few years.

I enjoyed myself and attended my son-in-law's retirement celebration. He had worked at the Western Pacific Brewery for 42 years, 32 of which he was manager. He is enjoying his retirement to the fullest.

The McMillans enjoyed the family reunion at Silver Lake with approximately 100 people in attendance.

Glen Inkster of Irma, Alta. stopped by to see his mom Eva Inkster. He was on his way home from a fishing trip. Fish weren't biting too well.

Sunday, Don and Bev Nicholson of St. Walberg stopped by to see Tillie Linkert.

Tillie Linkert's three daughters took her to Saskatoon to see the musical show, Mama Mia. They all enjoyed it very much.

Aaron and Maze Grimely of Oman were home for a visit with their new baby boy Jacob James (J.J.), a great-grandson for Norma Lott.

The Stewart family held a family reunion at the museum in North Battleford July 21 with about 130 people in attendance. They had a great time visiting people from Saskatchewan, Alberta, Manitoba, British Columbia and the United States.

Jean Stewart's niece Eileen took her to Longmede to visit with relatives.

In July, Colleen Koski was to her daughter Tina's in Strasburg and stopped in Outlook to visit relatives. In August, she met her daughter Tina and granddaughter Jasmine in Outlook and brought them home for two weeks. They visit Grandma May Ford in Lloydminster . Jasmine took swimming lessons at Silver Lake and was happy when she passed her tests. Colleen took them back and spent four days and visited her aunt in Outlook.

We would like welcome Mrs. Lorenz into apartment No. 30 and hope she will enjoy it here.

Madeline Blanchette was in apartment #23 but took ill and isn't able to return. We wish the best and hope you are well soon.

Harvesting has started and the gardens are being taking in. It's been a very good summer, and hope harvest goes well.

Sept. 12 - Lil and Milt McMillan had a nephew, Barry Jenoe from Qualicum, B.C., come visit.

Barry Innes of Tomahawk, Alta. was here visiting his aunt Jean Stewart, his sister Anne Reeds and his brother George Innes.

Sunday, Tillie Linkert's daughters and their husbands were all here and did her fall cleaning.

Saturday visitors with Theresa Kennedy were all her sons from Lloydminster.

On July 28 Theresa Kennedy attended the wedding of her granddaughter Leslie Gerlug and Nic Weston at Silver Lake golf course. There were five bridesmaids and five groomsmen. It was a beautiful wedding on a beautiful day. A lovely banquet was held in the Maidstone Arena.

Visitors with Eva Inkster this week were Allan and Helen McLeod of Winnipeg, Man.

Dorothy Kissick was to Loon Lake and visited with her friend.

Tuesday, Dorothy had a dental appointment in Unity. The winds were so strong, it was hard to keep the car on the road.

Colleen Koski was to Lloydminster where her mom was in the hospital in emergency. She was able to take her back home.

The strong winds kept most people indoors. One person remarked that it would be a good day to fly a kite.
