Summer is time for visiting

Tuesday morning at the Pine Island Suites we enjoyed celebrating Janice and Mae McConnell's birthdays. We visited, played bingo and enjoyed birthday cake. Congratulations to you both. Hope we can enjoy many more.

Tillie Linkert enjoyed her annual visit with her three daughters. They were to Edmonton where they enjoyed The Wicked Witch Wizard of Oz theatre.

I spent 10 days with my son Duncan at Marsden. While there we attended the 100th anniversary of the Scouler farm at Rockhaven. It was a very enjoyable afternoon visiting relatives we haven't seen for a long time, playing games and having a barbecue supper. Thanks to Chris Scouler (third generation on the farm) and his family for a great time.

Colleen Koski was pleased to have her brother Allan and Marg Ford of Enderbury, B.C., their daughter from Fort Saskatchewan and granddaughter from Washington D.C. come to visit. They visited with their mother May Ford at the Pine Island Lodge. Riley and Chantal jointed them for supper at the truck stop. A great day.

Albert and Alice Murray of Macrorie stopped and had dinner with Colleen Koski. Albert is Colleen's cousin. A nephew of May Ford. After lunch they all visited May at Pine Island Lodge.

Eileen Redmond of Kitscoty was a recent visitor with Jean Stewart.

We wish Lil McMillan a speedy recovery this week. She's been down with a virus.

Colleen Koski, her granddaughter Jasmine and Chantal were to North Battleford to take their little pup Penny to the vet. Penny is a little pup that had been left on the road side and had a broken leg. Penny is doing well and her leg has heeled. She is lucky to have been rescued and found a good home.

Gloris Ford and Colleen Koski were Lloydminster shoppers last week.

The crops look excellent and the canola is a beautiful yellow. Certainly hope they can get the crops in the bin.
