Summer colours paint the landscape

Enjoy one of the loveliest seasons the year has to offer. Bask in the warm rays of the sun, or in the gentle showers of rain. Notice the harmonizing shades of green, occasionally showing the purple stands of the lilacs.

The patio and grounds of Tower I have their own claim to charm and elegance. Large showy annuals sporting bright colours have been purchased and set in tubs and boxes. Many thanks to the executive members who supervised the deal.

The gardens have been planted and some rows are showing neat little vegetables already showing promise of a good harvest later on. May that be the case for everyone who started a garden this year. Many thanks to the people in the community who donate fresh fruit and vegetables to us.

Four of us attended an interesting and informative presentation of Saskatchewan Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services at the Territorial Place Mall on May 21. It was convened by Jerry Markin, manager of communications, and Kevin Braun, community service worker, both from Saskatoon.

June 12, an enjoyable event took place in the lounge, celebrating the birthdays for the month. Many gathered to hear the Eagle Hills band perform. Four people, playing fiddle, guitar, and piano with some vocals, rendered old time favourites, ideal for dancing or just listening. A delicious lunch of cake, ice cream, and peaches concluded the delightful evening. We wish each celebrant many happy returns of their special days.

Several new residents have joined our company in calling Tower I home. A warm welcome to each person, and may they enjoy their times here.
