Summer brings visitors

Rose Danychuk was pleased to have her daughter Nancy de Bussac of Biggar and granddaughter Stephanie Trochie Of Oyen, Alta. to visit with her. They had a trip out to the farm to visit also.

Jean Stewart, Marion Staughton and I went to Paynton Thursday to say happy retirement to the postmistresses, Betty Ann Stewart and Candy Merryweather. It was a pleasant afternoon visiting over coffee and cake.

We wish Lil McMillan a very happy birthday July 3. Her family helped her celebrate July 1.

Allan and Margie Ford of Enderby, B.C. were here for an overnight visit with Colleen Koski. They were at Riley and Chantal's for supper. Gloria and May Ford were there also.

During the afternoon Wanda Goden of Fort Saskatchewan, Margie and Allan's daughter, stopped in also. Her husband a trucker who was passing through stopped for an hours visit. A very enjoyable time as they hadn't seen theses people for some time.

Colleen Koski had Sunday Supper with Riley and Chantal.

Dorothy Kissick went to the July celebrations at the sports grounds with Tyler, Becky, Whalen and Lily, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Chad and Hudson Stewart of Medicine Hat, Alta. were here for the weekend and visited with grandma Jean Stewart.

A number of people enjoyed coffee and bingo at Pine Island Suites Tuesday morning.

The July 1 parade was enjoyed by the apartment people. As it was very warm, most sat in the shade. The children enjoyed getting the goodies.

With all the sunshine the gardens and lawns are really growing, So are the weeds.
