Maymont Centeral School Grade 5 to 9 students travelled to Saskatoon Nov. 24 to the Broadway Theatre. They watched an adaptation of Twelfth Night performed by Persephone Theatre. The students and staff accompanying them enjoyed the humorous production.
MCS senior boys' volleyball team placed fifth at the 2A provincial tournament held at Muenster Nov. 25 and 26. The team represented their school well and we are proud of them.
Students participated in Operation Christmas Child once again this year. Classrooms collected toys, school supplies and hygiene items to fill shoeboxes, as well as cash donations to help with shipping. Thirteen shoeboxes were filled to be distributed to children in Nicaragua.
Kindergarten to Grade 6 students are busy practising for this year's Christmas concert. It will be held on Monday, Dec. 19 at 7:15 pm in the school gym.
