Cribbage was played at the Maidstone Drop In Centre Jan. 27 with high score going to Denise Newton and low to Dorothy Schwartz, who also supplied lunch.
Bingo was played Jan. 29 with Jean Hartman and Shannon Smith doing the calling. Lunch was provided by Jean Stewart.

I was recently in a neighbouring city and by accident ended up in a residential area. I was shocked at the condition of the streets in this residential area and it made me appreciate the good job our local crew do to keep our streets and alleys in such good condition. They do a great job and a big thank you from an old age pensioner.
A potluck birthday meal was shared Feb.14.
The monthly meeting was held Feb. 7 with vice-president Shannon Smith presiding. It was reported that the chilli on a bun event was well attended with more people than last year. A thank you card for her 90th birthday tea was received from Jean Stewart. Rivers West are looking for an organization to hold the volunteer recognition awards banquet. Maidstone seniors voted to decline.
A letter from the health region regarding food preparation classes was received. March meeting will be held on Thursday, March 6 as the regular meeting day is the World Day of Prayer. A stew and biscuit lunch will be held March 19 at noon. The mike on the sound system is to be checked out. A donation can for Telemiracle is set out. Outside and inside double doors were checked. New weather stripping, a face plate and an adjustment need to be made. Cost will be about $430. A grant will be applied for to help cover the cost. Jean Hamilton supplied lunch.
