Best wishes to Conrad and Danay Smart as they move from their home in Waseca to be closer to the homes of their parents near Prince Albert. Conrad and Danay have resided in the village of about four years. Conrad worked as an electrician and Danay as a hair dresser. Since coming to Waseca they were married and recently a daughter was born to them. They have been active in the community and will be missed by the organizations they helped and their many friends.
Meanwhile, among those moving into the village are Ron and Sheila Mickle and Ben Lenko. Welcome to all of you.
A burial service for David Goodwillie will be held in Waseca Hall May 26 at 1 p.m. Internment will be in Waseca Cemetery.
May 25 to 27, a number of volunteers will be spending their spare time painting the interior of Christ Church, Waseca's heritage church. Thank you to those volunteers.
Several people have come forward to help with grass mowing and keeping the village tidy during the summer. A number of the historic signs have been erected along the walking trail, making the walk interesting.
