Soggy weekend, but better days ahead

We experienced wet weather on the weekend. Besides rain, the ground was blanketed with snow twice. Temperatures were low, slightly above zero. Perhaps when this has run its course we will really have spring.

We experienced wet weather on the weekend. Besides rain, the ground was blanketed with snow twice. Temperatures were low, slightly above zero. Perhaps when this has run its course we will really have spring. The forecast is telling us that there will be some sunshine Tuesday and sunny days for the rest of the week with temperatures as high as plus 17 C. Do you think this will happen?

Congratulations to Lois Pike on the birth of her 16th great-grandchild and to Melanie and Morris Freeston on their first grandchild. Greatest congratulations to the parents, Chandra and Bryan Fisher of Lloydminster, whose daughter Rayah Melody was born on Easter Monday.

Having a greenhouse this spring has been a real challenge. Evelyn Janus had put plants into her greenhouse before the last cold spell. We had some warmer weather, then the very cool nasty weather on the weekend. I am sure it will be a relief to see the temperatures that are forecast for this coming week!
