The trees and perennials planted in the village the last few years are really growing adding to the beauty of the village. The work around the base of the community centre should help keep the space under the building dry.

Village of Waseca is the recipient of an Automated Emergency Defibrillator through the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation's national program to have AEDs installed in all arenas across Canada. The AED will be located at the community skating rink and accessible in the event of an emergency in the community. Training provided through the foundation was held July 3 with 14 individuals attending. Certified instructor, Louise Hume, conducted the session that was informative and educational. Installation of a security system at the skating rink is being considered to reduce the risk of vandalism and/or theft.
