Mel Deagnon, custodian at the waste transfer station hung up his guns April 30 Time for him to retire again (as if that will happen). Welcome to Dee MacInnis, who will take over for Mel.
A surprise party was held for Pat Beaudoin at the Maymont Seniors' Center May 11. Who would believe Pat turned 80 years old (not me)? She is still working in her flower garden, one of her pet projects for the summer, and it looks great.
How about that other 65-year-old Terry (Beaudoin) Skopyk? She's pretty good looking for 65. Born May 12 are Terry, her husband Jerry, brother Dale and niece Savannah. Happy belated to all of them.
It's been a long time since I shared with you a musical experience. May 16 Mel and I enjoyed the Oak Ridge Boys celebrating 40 years. They might look different but they sure still sound great.
Mark June 22 on your calendar. There is a potluck and jam session at Maymont Hall. Also June 22 and 23, Maymont will be hosting a garage sale.
