The air was cool but the skies were clear to view the total eclipse of the September moon, which has some different names. It is the harvest moon, the autumn moon, the leaves-get-yellow moon, plus this year it's the super moon – a very bright full moon with a blood-red glow and close to Earth. Many interested people were watching it all happen. There will not be another for a few years.

Clean up has taken place at the Baljennie St. Bridgett’s cemetery grounds. A big thank you to all those helpful workers. A good job done before winter sets in.
The Canada geese, ducks and sandhill cranes are all flocking up in time to leave for a warmer place to winter. The crows are in large flocks as well. A lot of the smaller birds have already left. Some go early as they have a long trip ahead of them.
