Seniors plan luncheon

Bingo was played Feb. 23 at the Maidstone Drop In Centre Feb. with Jean Hartman and Margaret MacEachern calling. Lunch was provided by Dorothy Harmel. The loonie pot was won by Dorothy Kissick. Cirbbage was played Feb. 28.

Cirbbage was played Feb. 28. Hosting and providing lunch was Dorothy Schwartz. High score went to Margaret MacEachern and low to Lil McMillan.

Bingo was played March 2 with Margaret MacEachern doing the calling. Lunch was provided by Jean Stewart assisted by Norma Hougen.

The monthly meeting was held March 3, a Thursday, as the World Day of Prayer was on the Friday, the usual meeting day. President Margaret MacEachern brought the meeting to order, but treasurer Denise Newton and secretary Jean Hartman were absent. Vera Hintz gave the financial report and Lil McMillan took the minutes. Final arrangements were made for the stew and biscuit luncheon March 16 at noon.

Profit from cards, bingo and other activities for February totaled $160.55 and will be donated to Telemiracle.

The March-April birthday potluck will be April 15. The annual and regular monthly meeting will be held April 8 at 2 p.m. A nomination committee for the coming year was called for. Lil McMillan and Dorothy Schwartz volunteered for this job. Following the meeting, lunch was provided and served by Vera Hintz.

The card game 500 was played March 7 with a small turnout. Winners for the afternoon were Hettie Richardson and Lil McMillan. Lunch was provided by Jean Stewart.
