ST. WALBURG — The St. Walburg seniors’ organization hosted an information session on the Twin Rivers Health Foundation Oct. 6 as many didn’t realize it was still in existence. Muriel Conacher was on hand to inform people of and about the Twin Rivers Foundation. During her presentation, Conacher explained about the organization and how it operates.
She also explained where some of the money has been spent that the foundation has acquired through donations. She explained how you could contribute to the foundation in memory of someone or leave a bequest.
This session was well attended.
The St Walburg seniors hosted another information session Oct. 29, this time on fraud, scams and wills and estates, and some information on elder abuse from a financial perspective. The credit union provided the presenters and it was followed up with Cpl. Kent Ashworth from the RCMP.
These information sessions were open to anyone who would like to attend.
