Seniors from various locations joined the Maymont seniors Aug. 21 for an afternoon of entertainment and a supper provided by Maymont seniors.
Entertainment by Benny and Lorraine Stenerson, Mel Deagnon, Bert Carpentier and Tom Caldwell was appreciated as was help with the supper and cleanup by hall members, especially Judy Gallie. Thanks, Judy; it was a fun event.
Glenburn Park was the location for a Thompson family reunion held on the weekend of Aug. 15, 16 and17. The family are the descendants of Sonny Thompson, late of Richard, and Margaret Thompson Johnston of Lloydminster, formerly of Maymont. Family members travelled from Alberta - Grande Prairie, Valleyview, Devon, Lloydminster, Cold Lake - and Regina, Balgonie, Saskatoon, Sandwith, North Battleford, Kitscoty , Richard and Maymont. The family also celebrated Margaret (Rogers) Thompson's 60th birthday and Keithan Fash's seventh birthday which was on Aug. 17.
Judy Sherman travelled to Lloydminster for a Pollard family reunion Aug. 9 and 10. There were approximately 150 relatives in attendance from all over Western Canada. The weather was great for the event.
