The Grade 4 -6 students from Marsden Jubilee School had a great time on their ski trip to Table Mountain Feb. 9. The day started with an early bus ride to the hill, followed by group ski lessons. Students then had the opportunity to learn new skills and work on former abilities. Miss Harper, Mrs. Morgan and Mrs. Williams enjoyed spending time skiing with kids and they look forward to next year's ski trip.

During Telemiracle Week (Feb.13-17), the students paid to participate in a variety of events, including pyjama day, hat day, tie day, float day and a pancake breakfast. Throughout the week the students had the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for the chance to be the principal or a teacher for a day. The winners were: Miss Taylor -Jimmy (K), Mr. Logan Blackbeard (Grade 1/2), Mr. Aaron Harder (Grade 3/4), Mr. Travis Morgan (Grade 5/6), Miss Tyra McIntosh (principal), Kaden Johnson (EA), and Jaiden Graham (EA). We look forward to seeing how these students run the school for a day. In total, approximately $1,016 was raised between community donations and the activities the students took part in during the week.

MJS is, once again, doing the Mom's Pantry fundraiser. The students will be bringing their order forms home March 30 and will be selling until April 20.

Report cards will be sent home on March 23. Kindergarten students will receive their second report cards in June, but parents will be invited to an interview in March to discuss their child's progress. Parent teacher interviews will be held on March 27 and 28. There will be scheduled interviews March 27. We are then inviting all parents and students to come to our open house March 28 from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. At this time, the students will take their parents around to stations to show them what they have learned so far this year.

Due to such a busy week of Telemiracle events, the Marsden School Community Council held theirTeacher Appreciation Week from March 12 to 15, withsome small surprises to show teachers how important they are.

March 15, the Grade 6 students made taco salad in a bag for lunch.
