What a beautiful day for the Village of Ruddell's 110th annual July 1 picnic. Over 80 people attended. They were entertained with horse rides from Tom Pain with his Clydesdale horses; not only the children were enjoying the rides, so were the adults.
The children and adults played games. Money was given out to the winners to use to buy ice cream and lemonade for 25 cents. When was the last time you could buy either for 25 cents?
There was a potluck supper to end the evening. Thanks to all the organizers of this event; you did a wonderful job. See you again next year.
Maymont seniors' centre is having a potluck and jam session July 24. Everyone is welcome. Doors open at 5 p.m. and supper is at 6 p.m.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to family and friends of the Tom and Joyce Patterson, whose daughter Arleen passed away, and also to the Nutbrown family who lost their father Ronald Nutbrown and also to our dear friends Carl and Maureen Ross on the passing of their daughter.
