Several people attended the quilt show in Maidstone on the weekend. The show was both Saturday and Sunday. It is always amazing to see the fine work the quilters do. Arlee Lumgair, who is a member of both Maidstone and Waseca quilting clubs, had worked on the show. It was good to see a large crowd in attendance.
Our best wishes for a speedy recovery go to Allan Hinde who underwent surgery in University Hospital in Saskatoon.
Also we wish Alec Jeffrey a speedy recovery. He is a patient in Maidstone hospital.
Eleanor and Alvin Pegg returned March 30 from two weeks in Australia. They and all their family - Dallas and her husband Jay, Catlyn and her husband Cory, Cougen and Tiegen and her friend Joe - travelled to Australia to attend the wedding of a special exchange student, from Australia, who had lived with them a few years ago.
They all made the most of their time, filling their days with lots of sightseeing. One of their journeys was a flight to Perth, which is a coastal town where they had a close-up view of dolphins, which they fed, and sea turtles. They also visited a special zoo.
Some of the group saw the Great Barrier Reef and made a rain forest tour. The Great Barrier Reef is the largest coral reef in the world, stretching 1,250 miles on the Queensland coast.
There were other trips, one to a farm, a visit to the Sydney Opera House and others.
