Glass and cast iron, steel and copper, Reartcycle strikes again.

Building art from re-used items, the group recently exhibited their work in Outlook. Paynton artists Ellery Russell and Mariann Taubensee travelled across the province to show works created at the week long sculpture symposium prior to the show.

Each artist showed their current and past work at the LCBI campus over the weekend with a great turnout and wonderful review from the public.

James Korpan and Dale Hicks constructed a twice-scale sized sandhill crane, which are a local migratory bird to Outlook. Ric Pollock and LaurieAfseth created Homer the Hockey Playerprimarily from tractor and truck parts.

Mariann Taubensee used several hundreds of pounds worth of old used cultivator shovels to create her birdinspired abstract andEllery Russell welded up a two-piece sun and moon sculpture.

Thesculptures built at the symposiumrange in height from nine to 13.5 feet tall. Hard work and community support were the main ingredients of this event.

Aslideshow of thesymposium and exhibitwill be available for viewing at the Paynton Farmers' Market on Tuesdays from 4 - 6 p.m. at Paynton Arena or at the next Reartcycle exhibit atThe Mix gallery Saskatoon,Oct. 19 - 21.
