The Maymont Dance Club had their annual recital April 13.
An enthusiastic audience turned out to watch the dancers perform hip hop, jazz and lyrical numbers. It was a high energy program starting with the little ones who always steal the show all the way up to the senior group.
The dancers had fun and thank everyone who attended the recital.
The dance club consisted of 25 dancers this year and two teachers. Joy Domak returned from a brief retirement to teach jazz and lyrical and new teacher, Sarah Bajak, joined the club to teach hip hop classes. Sarah also choreographed all the solos and duets for this year's recital.
Joy will be going back into retirement next year and the club will greatly miss her. She has been dedicated to the club for many years. Sarah will return as full-time dancer teacher in the fall and the club is excited for all she has to offer the club.
