Happy Thanksgiving to all. We have much to be thankful for at this time. Students will be enjoying a day off.
Residences in the village have been changing hands. There are no vacancies in the village at present. Even the house which was the teacherage, has been sold.
It is interesting to note that people who have moved in have been making improvements on their houses and property which makes quite a difference in the appearance of the village.
Barry and Vi Broadhead are now home after spending the summer in the North West Territories.
Sports are high on the agenda with the young people. Among those taking part in the junior volleyball tournament held in Maidstone on the weekend were Natasha and Destiny Donovan and Jasmine and Brittany Hult.
Mark Tomarat and Walter Wickman, who play hockey with the Maidstone Jets, have been honing their skating and hockey skills in the Lashburn Arena, where the ice was installed recently.
