Prizes offered by summer reading program

The Neilburg branch of the Lakeland Library has been a busy place recently. Story time was held June 14 and a time of games and crafts was held July 10. The summer reading program is now underway with prizes for participation.

If you have ordered a Neilburg community calendar, they are now ready for pickup during regular library hours.

The Neilburg recreation board Trip Of The Month winners for July were Greg and Darlene Bowes who will be flying to Halifax. In June, Jeff and Kelsie Dallyn of Chauvin won the trip to Victoria. May saw Ted Adams of Paradise Valley winning a trip to Las Vegas. A trip to Phoenix was won by Murray and Donna Meena, of Maymont, in the April drawing.

The cash lotto winners of $120 were Jacquie Hall in April, Jim Duffee in May, Krystyna Olchowecki in June and Kendra Johnson in July.

The Neilburg Vet Clinic closed June 28. They served coffee and cinnamon buns, as a customer appreciation event, June 24. The clinic will reopen in late September.

A group of young people from Neilburg participated in the Lloydminster Relay for Life May 31. The team, known as The Life Savers, was led by Danielle Scott with Avery Moir, Ashlee Goodfellow, Ashley Ostrom, Carl Cammidge, Connor Urlacher, Dustin Hafner, Hanna Herle, Kaibre Watson, Kasey Schmidt, Kylie Goodfellow, Laura Hegel, Marissa Brockhoff, Shannon Putnam and Tyler Spence also helping this worthy cause.
