With Christmas fast approaching, students are looking forward to holidays. For local students, Dec. 20 is the final day of school. Christmas concerts are the order of the day to finish off the school term.
University students are already on break. Among the local students home for the holidays are Morgan Thomarat, Luke James and Beth Nerbas.
Dec. 14, an enthusiastic group met at the Waseca Community Centre. After hot chocolate and a visit they set out "caroling," visiting many homes in the village and surrounding area. Those they visited appreciated having them come and were pleased with how well they sang and the carols they chose.
Dec. 14, the Waseca Playground Committee members were happy with the outcome of the Fun Day they sponsored at Waseca Hall. The winners of the turkey shoot were: Crystal Hult, Sandra Sutherland, Curtis Sutherland, Jayden McKay and Ross Campbell, who won two. Thank you to those who donated the turkeys. The bake table was a busy place. Vendors were happy with their sales. Congratulations to the committee members who worked very hard to make the day a success.
