Residents of all ages will join forces to help clean up city streets this Saturday, May 10.
Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. in Central Park (beside the North Battleford Public Library) at 1392 - 101st St. Participants will pick their routes and receive safety information and supplies. Volunteers will be treated to a barbecue provided by No Frills and Battlefords Boys and Girls Club starting at 3 p.m.
"We have a core group of active volunteers that organizes this event every year so city residents can get outdoors with their families and help make the city a little brighter," said Brendon Boothman, chairman of Battlefords United Way board of directors.
"This event has grown to include schools, businesses and other community groups who volunteer to help beautify the city."
In a press release, Battlefords United Way expresses appreciation to sponsors Tim Hortons, Battlefords Boys and Girls Club, No Frills and the City of North Battleford for their continued support of this event.
