Pine Island Apartments

Nicole Meier from Vancouver, B.C. is here to visit her Grandpa and Grandma McMillan. She has been with her dad, Dwayne Wiltermuth ,who had the misfortune to be mauled by a cow. He suffered a broken hip and broken ribs, but he is progressing nicely.

Shelia Trelnuk of Wainwright, Alta. is here visiting her aunt, Irene McKee. Shelia and Linda Sewell took Irene to Saskatoon where she got a new pacemaker. Sunday they all helped Irene celebrate her 94th birthday. Congratulations, Irene.

Shirley James of Waseca came Sunday and picked up her mom Tillie Linkert, Jean Stewart and I and took us to Lashburn to see the Scott Woods' All Aboard Sensational Fiddle Variety Show. It was just great. Thank you, Shirley.

We extend our sympathy to the Bertrand family on the passing by Bernard Bertrand, Bernard and Audrey are our neighbours in the Pine Island Apartments.

Tuesday morning a number of the apartment ladies enjoyed coffee and bingo at the Pine Island Suites.

Our sympathy to the family of the late Alice McGowan. Alice was an apartment resident before going to the PineIsland Lodge. She will be greatly missed.

Friday, Jean Steward and I enjoyed coffee and birthday cake with Jessie Buckley and friends. Jessie celebrated her 90th birthday, Congratulations, Jessie, and many more.

I understand the frost on Monday night has done some damage to the crops that where up. The plants that I had out here at the apartment weren't damaged. Hope it didn't damage the fruit blossoms.
