Monday morning dawned clear and sunny but cool. According to the forecast we are due to have warmer weather as the week progresses. Despite the fact that temperatures have been only a few degrees above zero, the snow continues to disappear and the puddles and sloughs are gradually drying.

The Lois Pike family, 41 family members and friends, enjoyed Easter Sunday afternoon bowling at the Lashburn bowling alleys. This is an annual affair and much appreciated by all who attend, but especially the younger family members who are learning the game. During the evening a potluck supper was enjoyed by all.

Keith and Eileen Evans returned last Monday from a week spent with their family in British Columbia. They were guests of their daughter Karen and husband Brian Sjoberg and family who live at Vernon, B.C. While there they had visits with Kathy and Chris Jacobs and family, who drove from their home at Salmon Arm and Joanne and Ben Rawlinson and daughter Emma who drove from Kelowna. So all family members were able to be there except John and family who live in Calgary.

Lots of visiting went on over the Easter weekend. Helena Pike and Agnes Oddan were Easter Sunday guests of their family Maurice and Ellen Oddan. As guests we didn't go out to see the newborn calves and lambs. They now have seven lambs with more to come and many calves to come. It’s an interesting and very busy time of year.
