A local group is bringing the Vagina Monologues to the Dekker Centre for the Performing Arts Saturday, with all proceeds going to support Battleford Interval House and the Battlefords and Area Sexual Assault Centre.
The Vagina Monologues is an episodic play written by Eve Ensler. The play has been staged internationally, and a television version featuring Ensler was produced by cable TV channel HBO.
The performance begins at 7 p.m. with drinks and food to follow. There will be a silent auction featuring Georgia O'Keeffe inspired paintings, hand made jewelry by local designers and Healthy Coffee.
Jayna Hannah has donated a ladies' diamond ring that will be raffled off at the event.
