Lions International sponsors an annual peace poster contest for youth.
The theme for the contest last year was "Our world our future."
The winner of the competition was awarded a $2,500 along with a trip to Lions Day at the United Nations along with two family members.
Last year there were 350,000 entries worldwide. There were 95 posters competing at the club level and three at the district.
There were two competitions in the district. The North Battleford Bonaventure Lions Club and the Borden Lions Club sponsored competitions.
The Battlefords Art Club judged the posters.
The first place winner,10-year-old Caitlin Russell of Bready School in North Battleford was awarded the $125 prize.
The runner up, 12-year-old Joclyn Buziak of St Vital School in Battleford, was awarded the $50, prize.
