Story:The Waseca Fire Department was called out on Saturday evening, Feb. 11, to a location two miles north of the village where the tractor part of a semi-oil-truck was on fire. With the help of the Maidstone Fire Department, the fire was extinguished and no one was hurt. The cause of the fire, I understand, was a defect in the wiring of the tractor.
Just a reminder the Yellowhead Ramblers will be playing at Pine Island Lodge in Maidstone on Feb. 19 at 2 p.m. and at Pine Island Suites on the evening, 7 p.m., of the same day. All are welcome to come to join in "enjoying" the music and "singing along."
Some of the Waseca members of the Maidstone school alumni were home to take part in the Alumni Basketball game held on Saturday evening. Among those taking part was Daryl Donovan. The Alumni game was an attraction at the basketball tournament held in Maidstone on the weekend.
