North Battleford Housing Authority has named the 2014 Yard Pride Contest winners.

NBHA holds annual yard pride contests to encourage and celebrate excellence in yard care, according to Operations Manager Cheryl Cook-Taylor.

"NBHA has many tenants that spent countless hours on yard care and we like to acknowledge that time and effort," she said.

Monthly winners are selected throughout June, July and August. From those winners, grand prize winners are then selected and share in more than $700 in prizes.

This year's NBHA Yard Pride Contest grand prize winners were Carrie Day, Nicole Studney, Grant Sayers and Diane Fineday and Marcia Lonesinger.

"Yard care in North Battleford was truly excellent in 2014," said Cook-Taylor. In fact, it was quite a challenge selecting our winners as so many of our tenants really excelled this past summer," she said

NBHA exists to ensure, on behalf of Saskatchewan Housing Corporation, that adequate, affordable, and well-maintained housing is accessible to all residents of North Battleford. NBHA manages more than 500 rental units in the city.
