"The board of directors of the Frontier Mall Merchants Association respectfully requests nominations of outstanding citizens of the Battlefords and area for induction to the Frontier Mall Wall of Fame," says special events co-ordinator, Karyl De La Pena.

Nominees may be living or deceased, but must be or have been citizens of the Battlefords or surrounding area. Each nominee will be carefully evaluated to determine the value of their contribution to the community, to significant groups within the community or as role models in the community.

Also evaluated will be the significance of their contribution to art, sports, business, government, philanthropy, humanities, science or education and the enduring value of their achievements.

The Wall of Fame was initiated in February 2000 to recognize major accomplishments and contributions local residents have made in the community.

"There are currently 55 inductees and it has come to that time of the year to introduce additional individuals who have had a positive influence on our community," says De La Pena.

Nomination kits are available at the Frontier Mall administration office and will be accepted until Feb .10 for the 2012 Wall of Fame Induction Ceremony which is scheduled to commence in the spring.
